The Walking Dead season 11 is currently on another hiatus, but when can fans expect to see
new episodes of the veteran AMC show return again?
The Walking Dead returned to TV screens during the summer of 2021 with eight brand new episodes when it launched its final season in typically undead and shocking fashion.
The long-running AMC zombie drama has been on the air for over a decade, but in 2020 it was revealed that it would be taking its final bow with an extended bumper-length eleventh and final season consisting of a whopping 24 episodes.
All is not lost for fans of the franchise as the TWD Universe will continue to grow via its two ongoing spin-offs (one a full series, the other a two-season miniseries) and the two new spin-offs set to take it into the future.
The show has now embarked on a somewhat lengthy hiatus, its second of two midseason hiatuses. But its return, with the third part of its eleventh season will come. When can fans expect the show’s third midseason premiere to air?
When is The Walking Dead season 11 part 3 released?
The Walking Dead season 11 will return to AMC in fall 2022. While an official release date has yet to be given by AMC, fans expected its return to be well into the year so that they could all enjoy it being on the air for a little longer.
The show’s midseason replacement, its spin-off Fear The Walking Dead, will complete its seventh season in June, making the main show’s return in the summer an initial possibility, but a new teaser for the returning episodes confirms that the show won’t return until fall.
The final season is going to be split into three installments. Each one of those installments will consist of eight episodes. The first of those wrapped its run back in October, the second has now done the same in April, and the third and final installment is being planned for sometime later in 2022, with June being a real possibility.
