While there will always be debate over which ‘Avenger’ is the strongest, it is clear
which Guardian of the Galaxy character is the friendliest. Pom Klementieff is really the only one, who is actually the nicest (and she also enjoys cracking jokes). This summer, the 37-year-old Marvel star is kicking some serious a*s.
While she may be best known for playing the lovable ‘Mantis’ in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, the French actress is reportedly now set to show off her true acting prowess in the upcoming Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part I.
If the latest movie trailer is any indication, she’s about to undergo an amazing transformation from hero to villain. In addition, according to a Collider report, director, Christopher McQuarrie said Klementieff is the one we won’t be able to ignore in the entire movie.
The Oldboy actress recently spoke candidly about her thrilling future in action movies, including some amazing suggestions she holds for herself.

Pom Klementieff Wants Her Own Action Film
In addition to starring in the highly anticipated Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Pom Klementieff has also appeared in the recent BMW project. It also made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival recently.
There is no doubt that driving an electric car is better for the environment. But it’s also not bad for subtly strangling a guy with the seatbelt, which is exactly what the French actress does in the BMW short film, The Calm. Also, don’t miss out on her stunning appearance; she is donning a purple Sergio Hudson suit.
According to Klementieff, it “gives you a new perspective on how to use a car. How we can kick a*s with a car,” in particular.
Speaking specifically about her future plans, she mentions a few of them, including the desire to star in her own action movies. She answers, playing along:
“If we make it a comedy. I suggest Pom Wick. (Yes, I’m that corny.) She answers, playing along, If we make it a comedy. Maybe I’m the daughter of [Keanu Reeves] and Michelle Yeoh.”
However, the action in this small BMW i7 Electric Sedan commercial is nothing to laugh at. Joseph Kosinski of Top Gun: Maverick executive produces this film, which stars Uma Thurman. It is directed by Sam Hargrave, the stunt coordinator for Avengers: Infinity War.
We can say that the Time of Day actress is in good hands, which she’ll need for her career in action movies.

The Guardian’s Career In Action Movies Is Promising
Pom Klementieff talked about her exciting future in action blockbusters, wrapping up the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, and (possibly) headbutting Tom Cruise while driving in a “first-of-its-kind silent car chase” in a BMW short film. She said, “I’ve been training for years.”
It appears that those early lessons were beneficial and paid off. She further added:
“I love pushing myself—just learning new skills and fighting. I love doing action stuff. It’s really fun. I was just boxing this morning. For this particular project, I wanted to be better at driving, too. So, I took drifting lessons for hours and hours. I learned how to do donuts, and how to drive with a stick shift. But it’s a different animal when it’s an electric car”
As the empathic, insect-like Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, Klementieff, now 37, first appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017). Then came the two final Avengers movies, Endgame (2019) and Infinity War (2018). In James Gunn’s latest release, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, she is back along with co-stars, Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) and Dave Bautista (Drax).
When she first arrived in Hollywood, she found that casting directors disapproved of her French accent and that she was initially restricted by her “foreignness“. Thus, it is safe to say that James Gunn and Spike Lee, two American directors who took a chance on her, were responsible for her mainstream breakthrough.
Her upcoming film, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One will debut in theaters on July 12.
